Administrative Volunteer
The Armenian Institute is looking to develop a volunteer’s skill set to support the team in general operations and administrative tasks. We expect from you a real passion for charitable work and for Armenia, and a desire to share a fun but focused work environment with a small and passionate team.
Availability from: January 2024
Terms: Part-time, 2 days a week for 6 months
Location: Remote work, although work in the office in London is possible, and at times required.
Skills we will develop together:
Mac and PC knowledge, Microsoft Office, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Zoom, and others.
Be organised and operate within a dynamic environment.
Grow a sense of responsibility, accountability, respect and interest for Armenian culture.
Tasks:
Social Media:
Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to create content, and monitor social media posts.
Analysing and reporting the insights.
Administration:
Handle post-books, letters, gifts, and online purchases from AI's store.
Mass mail e-flyers and other correspondence.
Help to improve the space in the office.
Support the Programme Manager on the programming and creation of events.
Support the Director with donations and grants.
Prepare and send out Friend/Patron renewal reminders.
Create and maintain a community calendar.
Support the Programme Manager with the Heritage of Displacement project: organising the interviews, liaising with volunteer interviewers and interviewees.
Events:
General assistance at physical and virtual public events: event space preparation, equipment setup and breakdown, welcoming visitors.
Venue research.
