Armenian Studies Group
What is the ASG?
The ASG comes together to provide a safe space where researchers in Armenian Studies in all fields present work-in-progress and receive stimulating, encouraging feedback. The purpose of the group is to help think about the work, its content, structure, narrative, etc. The meetings (up to 3 or 4 per year) take place in-person at the Armenian Institute offices in Farringdon (1 Onslow Street, EC1N 8AS, London), and may be streamed online for those who are located outside of London.
Meetings may include one speaker with a more in-depth presentation, or a combination of 2 to 3 speakers for shorter windows into the most current research being conducted.
Is the ASG for me?
ASG meetings are open to people whose work involves any kind of research on any aspect of Armenian Studies, be they students, teachers, journalists, writers, artists, photo-essayists… We value work that strives for scientific rigour, but you do not have to be an academic or an experienced scholar to join the group.
