Join an evening class, learn to speak East or West variants of Armenian and make new friends.
Introduction to the Armenian alphabet and essentials of modern East or West Armenian grammar. Students will be provided with basic conversational skills
Students will be introduced to useful conventional vocabulary and will be encouraged to participate in conversations on a range of selected topics.
The course consists of listening and reading exercises followed by in-class discussions involving specialised vocabulary on a wide range of current affairs and literary topics.
A bespoke syllabus can be tailored to suit your needs, whether you are learning Armenian for pleasure, travel or work. The timetable (dates and times) for one-to-one tuition is more flexible and can be rescheduled provided notice is given 24 hours in advance.
FEES AND LOCATION
All courses run for 3 terms per year (September to June) and each term runs for 10 weeks. Courses emphasise conversational skills alongside reading and writing simple texts. Tuition sessions last 90 minutes. Each course will be offered subject to a minimum of four students registering per term. If you are not sure about your level, please come to the class you believe is closest to your ability and you and the teacher will discuss and decide together. Courses cost £150 per 10-week term and take place in the Armenian Institute Library.
